Katja Schladitz is coordinator of the focus group “3d image analysis and modeling
of microstructures” at the department “Models and Algorithms in Image Processing” of the Fraunhofer Institut für Techno- und Wirtschaftsmathematik, Kaiserslautern.
Her research interests are
in stochastic geometry and spatial statistics and the application of
methods from these fields in (3d) image analysis and geometric modeling
of materials structures. Before joining the ITWM, she held postdoc
positions at Aalborg University (in the European Union’s research
network “Statistical and Computational Methods for the Analysis of
Spatial Data”) and at the University of Western Australia. She graduated
from Friedrich-Schiller-Universität Jena, where she did her PhD in
mathematics in the Graduiertenkolleg “Stochastic and Analytic Structures
and Systems”.
